It is connected to a PC which I VPN in. DS1515 is for data storage and it is in RAID5. DS1515 suddenly lost connection in the middle of a process yesterday. Synology Assistance cannot detect it and I cannot ping DS1515 either. What could be happening? If it is HDD failure, at least I can still access this DS. But I cannot. Could it be a failure of the diskstation itself?
If I can get someone to go on site, what should this person be looking for at this DS1515? Blinking lights, beeping alarm? What is the best course of action?
Note: All equipment (DS1515 included) on this site have no internet access to outside world.
